10-5-05 this is great...
i am a bad speller so i was taught that if you try to sound it out you can spell it. well
i guess it works unless you have a southern accent and don't pronounce the word correctly.
this is a real sign found post-katrina in efforts to help rebuild. click here for a
spelling lesson.
10-4-05 rebuilding down
here but did have a little extra time to get some new ink,.... click here for pictures
9-25-05 first thing you
need to go to: www.katrinatribute.info you need to wait a few minuets for it to load
and scroll down a little but it is worth it. the video has great images and pics that you
won't see else where and what bush would love to pretend didn't happen. well through rita
i suffered a little more damage to the house some power outage. it was windy and rainy at
my house but nothing i wasn't ready for.
9-23-05 rita now... the
levee broke, flooding, tornadoes, thunder storms, wind and so on and so on. fema is a joke
i haven't meet any one that got fema help yet. businesses start to close again, and
curfews back into effect. i am so ready to have a normal day. it sucks getting used
to only one food store open and having a huge line. lines for gas, no fast food, no bars,
nothing that is the norm for me. i guess in time. as for now. the wind is strong and the
rain is coming in sideways and stings your face. well i am off to watch out the window and
hope for the best during this one.
9-19-05 i will start out by
saying that scrappy, and i are okay. the house took some damage but compared to what is
around me, i am very lucky. it is very difficult to put into words what is happening
around me. people have lost everything and i have lost some good people. the city is
devastated but rebuilding. it does smell worse than normal and from time to time the smell
of death will make you gag. i have seen buildings that were turned into piles of trash and
bricks, homes turned into piles of wood and destroyed memories. families that have been
ripped apart or still in the unknown status. i have lost many of police brothers and
countless number of french quarter friends. i have heard stories of devastation and heart
break. the 911 calls that flooded my station by people in hopes of being rescued before
taking there last breath will haunt the dispatchers and police for the rest of their
lives. the stories that are told as friends attempt to return to what they knew as life
which is no longer there will break your heart. from piles of bodies, trash, and the
military personal that are controlling the city it appears that a war has been fought in
the city that i call home. i no longer see the rescue helicopters flying low i now see the
sprayed markings on the doors that represent how many bodies are laying inside waiting to
be picked up. stores remain open due to the looting and wind damage. and the
devastation that surrounds me will be in my memories and nightmares for the rest of my
life.
5-16-05 there are people
who, instead of listening to what is being said to them, are already listening to what
they are going to say themselves. - albert guinon
4-2-05 it has been 2
months!! i have been a very busy boy.. but i have also got to play a little here and
there. i have some great stories but right now i need to go. but however i have put up
some new pictures in the random 2 page. check them out. i will update again soon.
2-2-05 mardi gras is here
in full swing... this weekend is really a pain cause everything gets put on hold, roads
close, stores close, mail stops and more pains in the ass and now that i am living
here and not on vacation it can be a pain... but then again it is the biggest and longest
party i have ever seen or heard of so it's not that bad. wish me luck i will get some
pictures and post the ones i can...
2-1-05 even if you are on
the right track you will get run over if you just sit there. - unknown
1-31-05 well it has been a
long road forced to travel but i see that i have almost got to the end. i am starting to
have good movement with much less pain. i still get dizzy and my memory is not the best
but i am almost back to my normal routine, whatever that is. everyone has been here to
visit and made this much easier on me. i had all sorts of guests as you can see some of
them in the pictures. also all my local new orleans crew have been taking great care of me
physically and mentally. mardi gras has already started i have seen my first parade of the
year this past weekend. superbowl soon. all types of fun stuff. i got some pictures of my
bike on here and some family photo's i will get some mardi gras photos and post them next
week.
